International Conference COLONIAL CYPRUS (1878-1960)

The School of Law of the University of Nicosia, with the Cyprus Historical Studies Society, the Department of History of the University of Cyprus and the NUP organized on 7-8 February 2020 one of the largest historical conferences in Cyprus and the largest on colonial history with 75 speakers in 16 parallel sessions, at the University of Nicosia. The conference organized in memory of Aristides Koudounaris.

• Dr Achilles C. Emilianides, participated at the conference with a presentation about "Kriton Tornaritis as a Lawyer, 1924-1940".
• Katerina Elia, Senior Associate lawyer of our firm, also attended the conference and gave a speech about "Schemes of Labour and Popular Strata Self-Organization: Collectives in 4 Cypriot Villages in the 1940s and 1950s".
• Dr Christina Ioannou, Consultant of our firm, gave a presentation about “Industrial Relations and Working Conditions in Colonial Cyprus”.
